On today’s CNBC Halftime Report, Jon and Pete Najarian are seeing unusual option activity in $WDC, $SSRM, and $EQT. Plus an update on $DBX.
Jon is seeing unusual activity in $WDC, as traders purchased 16,000 of the January $55 calls for $0.45 to $0.48, as part of a bullish spread. The trade breaks even when Western Digital reaches $55.50 or so, and Jon bought these calls, noting that he will be in them for about three months.
Jon is also seeing unusual activity in $EQT, as traders purchased 4,000 of the July $17 calls for $0.62 to $0.80. Jon bought these calls, hoping for a quick pop, but notes that the calls are cheap enough that he will hold them from one to two weeks.
Pete is seeing unusual activity in $SSRM, as traders purchased 5,500 of the July $13 calls from $0.40 to $0.55, as part of a bullish roll. The trade breaks even with the stock around $13.55. Pete bought these calls and will be in them for about a month.
Lastly, Pete updated a trade in $DBX from June 5, noting that he has taken off half of his position to stay disciplined as they have nearly doubled.
