Bulls stream big profits with $DIS

It took just under a month for option traders to turn magical gains on upside positions in Disney (DIS).

On Nov. 16, our Unusual Activity scanners found that 2,000 Weekly $143 calls were bought for $5.75 as part of a bullish roll above open interest of 27 contracts as part of a bullish roll with shares at $144.03.

Those calls traded for as much as $35.65 today, more than 6 times their purchase prices. The stock rose 24.45% in the same time frame, showing how quickly options can far outperform their underling shares.

It marks the second winning trade in the name to be posted on Market Rebellion this month.

Long calls lock in the price where investors can buy a stock, letting them position for a rally at limited cost with the potential for significant leverage. They carry less risk than owning shares because the most that can be lost is the price of the options no matter how far the stock might fall.

DIS was up by 13.64% to close at $175.72 today. The entertainment giant held its investor day yesterday.
