Charlie, talk a little bit about regulation because obviously the U.S. Government is taking on cryptos and blockchain. What are other governments around the world doing as far as acceptance or blocking it?

Charlie Shrem: So many countries have been so friendly and so amazing towards crypto companies, going as far as the prime minister of the country shaking hands with CEOs of crypto companies that are moving their operations to those countries, and they are developing laws that are friendly and clear, so we know how to operate.

Some other countries are a little bit more passive and reluctant, because they’re either very big, they’re the reserve currency, or they don’t really see the need to invite crypto companies to enter, because they don’t want to change the status quo.

Adoption in the United States

Here in the United States, we don’t see adoption happening as fast as other countries are seeing it. In other countries, adoption is happening a lot faster. That’s why I think now, in the United States, if you get involved in cryptocurrency, you’re still one of the early ones. You’re one of the early few. It’s happening here the slowest because we live in a relatively stable country, and we don’t really need to see the changes happen as fast as other countries do.

But so many other countries are super friendly, are making amazing laws, are clear, and are welcoming crypto companies and crypto investors in with open arms. And I love traveling to these countries and meeting with these government bodies and the people that are just so excited and amazed by cryptocurrency.
