Amazon.com is truly gonna own the world it seems, but it’s also a very strong endorsement of blockchain technology.

The fact that Amazon has these nodes where it makes it easier for a developer to just jump right onto AWS and start with their blockchain, doesn’t that mean that they’re in the lead and everybody else is playing catch-up? Not just with AWS, but with attracting anybody who wants to work in blockchain?

Charlie Shrem: Completely agree. Imagine Amazon AWS, for those who don’t know, as the largest makers of concrete in the world. You wanna build a house, you wanna build anything, you need some of this concrete. Now imagine if someone invented a much newer, and better, more efficient form of concrete, and now we have the largest company that makes concrete saying okay, we’re going to actually now carry this new system of concrete that makes building houses and whatever, faster, easier, and more efficient.

What Amazon did effectively was, some of the technology that even my new company, CryptoIQ, had to build and spend 30 development hours doing, now Amazon made it where you push a button and it’s all automated for you. They do it automatically. Amazon is now attracting all these new companies, developers, and projects, but what they really did was endorse cryptocurrency and blockchains. They said that this is now legitimate, this is something real – Amazon said this is something that we see as a viable business model and product that’s gonna last for the next hundred years at least.
