Jon Hits An Unusual Options Activity Home Run in This High-PE Name

Jon Najarian was on CNBC’s Halftime Report today to talk about Unusual Options Activity in Peloton ($PTON), Bloomin’ Brands ($BLMN), and Expedia ($EXPE).

Some things are just astounding. The Easter Island heads have bodies. The Moon has Moonquakes. There’ll soon be a brain-chip that will allow people who are paralyzed from the neck down to operate a smart phone.

But nothing has been more astounding lately than the accuracy of these Unusual Options Activity segments in predicting future market action. For example, just take a look at today.

It was a major down day for the indices, with everything from meme stocks to FAANG to banks taking a tumble. Gamestop ($GME) saw its lowest point in 7 months. Tesla ($TSLA) fell 5%. Wells Fargo ($WFC) fell 3%. Even Apple ($AAPL), which had been hitting new highs all week, deemed the “safe-haven” stock, is down 2%.

But you wouldn’t have known that by looking at Jon’s Unusual Options Activity segment today. Jon called out Peloton at 1PM. With the stock trading at $38.42 and 8 seconds left in the segment, Jon said, “Peloton. Big bounce back coming”. By the end of the day, Peloton was up 7.35%. That huge spike caused those $40 calls to shoot up from $0.74 at 1PM to $2.26 by 4PM! Truly incredible.

In a time where the market can’t seem to make up its mind, the true safe-haven is not Apple. It’s Unusual Options Activity.
