Jon Najarian Sees Unusual Option Activity in $AAPL, $UPS and $NLSN

On today’s CNBC Halftime Report, Jon Najarian is seeing unusual option activity in $AAPL, $UPS and $NLSN.

Jon is seeing unusual activity in AAPL, where traders were buying over 44,000 of the 07September $230 calls from 1.07 to 2.20. Jon noted that on September 12, Apple is set to unveil its new products and these call buyers are likely positioning for a run ahead of the report, while keeping in mind that Apple does generally see weaker trade, after the announcement.

Jon also sees unusual bullish activity in UPS, where 5,000 of the September $123 calls were purchased for 1.57 to 2.00 as part of a bullish roll. Jon bought these calls.

Lastly, Jon is seeing some unusual call activity in the NLSN February $30 calls, as 5,000 were purchased for 0.95 as part of a bullish spread, selling downside puts against them. Jon bought these calls and noted that activist Elliot Management is involved with the name.
