On today’s CNBC Halftime Report, Jon Najarian is seeing unusual option activity in $FB and $PHM.
In FB, traders are buying up over 21,000 of the 26July $227.50 calls from $0.21 to $0.33. Jon bought these calls, has sold half after they outperformed quickly, and notes that the company reports its earnings on Wednesday, after the closing bell.
In PHM, traders are buying up 13,300 of the 02August $35 calls for $0.36 to $0.55. Jon also bought these calls and plans to hold them for a couple of weeks, while noting that the company reports earnings tomorrow before the opening bell, but that the additional time before expiration may be a read-through on the Fed’s rate policy.
