Las Vegas Sands (LVS) Call Options Rocket as Macau Gaming Revenue Surges

Upside option positions are delivering exceptional profits in Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS).

On Jun. 30, Market Rebellion’s Unusual Option Activity Service identified the purchase of 14,500 July 3rd $45 call options for $0.18 to $0.24 per contract, with LVS shares trading at $43.56, significantly exceeding the strike’s previous open interest of 563 contracts.

The timing proved particularly fortuitous, coming just one day before blockbuster Macau gaming revenue data would emerge.

Those July $45 calls have traded as high as $2.65 today with the stock at $47.59, delivering impressive returns of approximately 1,004.17% to 1,372.22% from the initial entry price range of $0.18 to $0.24. Meanwhile, LVS shares have gained approximately 9.25% from their initial trading level around $43.56, demonstrating how options can deliver significantly amplified returns compared to simply owning the underlying stock.

This performance illustrates the power of options leverage when the directional thesis proves correct, though it’s important to note that this same leverage can work against traders when market moves go in the opposite direction.

The explosive move in LVS comes as Las Vegas Sands Corp., one of the world’s largest gaming and resort companies, benefits from stunning Macau gaming revenue data released today. Macau’s monthly gaming revenue rose 19% in June, exceeding analyst expectations as visitors poured in to the world’s biggest gambling hub, with the six casino operators winning MOP21.06 billion (US$2.6 billion) from players in June 2025. The unexpected resurgence of Macau gaming revenues over the past two months, which culminated in June GGR smashing consensus at 19% year-on-year growth, appears to have been supported by the performance of the high-end gaming segments. The surge was driven by visitors who poured in for Cantonese pop concerts and other entertainment offerings.

This strong performance in Macau is particularly significant for Las Vegas Sands, as the company generates a substantial portion of its revenue from its integrated resort operations in the region. The better-than-expected gaming revenue figures suggest robust demand for casino operations and hospitality services, directly benefiting LVS’s financial performance and growth prospects.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. specializes in developing and operating integrated resorts featuring luxury accommodations, world-class gaming, entertainment, retail, and dining facilities. The company operates flagship properties including The Venetian and The Palazzo in Las Vegas, as well as Marina Bay Sands in Singapore and multiple properties in Macau. LVS is particularly well-positioned to capitalize on the recovery and growth in Asian gaming markets, with its Macau operations representing a key revenue driver for the company.

LVS is currently at $47.40, up 8.95% on the day and up from the $43.56 level when the original call activity was spotted.
