This service aims to show you how we filter unusual option order flow and combine it with a technical analysis etc.

The stocks below in the Trading Desk section that are highlighted for the This Week are on our current short list. We plan to analyze those in tomorrow’s webinar in several ways. Please note that fresh UOA that develops tomorrow morning could also be in the mix to determine our “Idea of the week.” We will however cover the particulars of the other names that are included and will consider them “Bonus Names.”

Welcome to UOA Essential! It is very important to familiarize oneself with weekly processes of evaluating new ideas and managing them. To begin with, we publish several names that have recently seen UOA activity added by our team of UOA analysts. These are names that we MAY use for the idea of week which we discuss on Tuesday mornings. To be clear, these are UOA hits that we have some interest in and will analyze in our Tuesday morning webinar. However, we MAY NOT use any of the names published each Monday as the idea of the week IF we see something of greater interest to us on Tuesday morning. The markets are dynamic so the new UOA often becomes the basis for the idea of the week. However, we do still discuss the other names in-depth within the webinar and we provide triggers and target levels discussed for those names in a post-webinar email summary. We strongly urge new UOA traders to attend webinars, ask questions and become very clear as to how we approach UOA style trading. There are critical comments made during webinars with regards to the facets of trigger level management, dynamically managing active positions etc. If NEW to UOA trading, we’d urge a brief period of paper trading followed by trading very small once deploying capital. Like most things, it requires time to acclimate and to develop a knack for managing positions with this style. EXTRA Special Note RE: Earnings Season. Earnings reactions can significantly impact the upcoming market action at times. From week to week we MAY include names in which earnings announcements are imminent or may be affected by peer stocks shortly. *Some stocks may be affected by EPS reports prior to discussing them in our webinar. We’d remind readers of many considerations.

1. We do not engage in reckless EPS speculation. Verify the EPS dates and times to be especially prudent. 
2. We only become involved if we believe we can connect some dots and have a good idea as to what the EPS reaction is likely to be all things considered. Only become involved if holding strong conviction along with the usual considerations, of which there are many.
3. We typically try to work our way into the so-called House’s Money position where after 1 and 2 are factored, we only put a portion of amassed gains at risk for the EPS reaction.
4. Further commentary can be found in the “Critical Information” links provided above.
5. EPS speculation is typically riskier due to elevated IV levels, the unknowns of EPS results, and comments made on EPS conference calls which often precede Wall St. analyst adjustments to stock ratings.
6. Do NOT force on a position into the EPS Releases. There’s plenty more opportunity awaiting us in the future that will not be subject to EPS Shenanigans.
