Hey Rebels! This week brought a more defensive tone to the market, with volatility picking up and the major indexes struggling to build consistent momentum.
$SPY and $DIA held up better than the tech-heavy side of the market, while weakness in semiconductor and AI-related names weighed on $QQQ. $IWM remained mixed as small caps continued to struggle with consistent follow-through.
The $VIX moved higher, showing that traders are beginning to price in more uncertainty. Rising oil prices and continued geopolitical tensions also added another layer of risk.
$BTC and crypto-related names failed to provide much of a risk-on signal, keeping the overall market environment cautious.
FIG tried to get going but has been fairly choppy.
LNG also could not breakout further.
KO traded within cents of target 1 today but has reversed sharply.
TRIP has started to go but is taking its time.
EWZ sold off and DRAM was an awesome downside play.

When not holding strong opinions, we normally close out entirely and start next week fresh.
When holding strong opinions, roll out in time and to a lower delta option.
When still wishing to have somewhat of a lean, close half and roll out half to a lower delta position.
Enjoy the weekend!
