NVIDIA (NVDA) Call Prices Rise

Upside option positions are delivering massive profits in NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA).

On May 7, Market Rebellion’s Unusual Activity service identified the purchase of 56,690 July 110 call options at $11.75 per contract as part of a bullish call roll, with NVDA shares trading at $113.27, significantly exceeding the strike’s previous open interest of 18,392 contracts.

Those July 110 calls have traded as high as $44.30 today with the stock at $152.86, delivering impressive returns of approximately 277.02% from the initial entry price of $11.75. Meanwhile, NVDA shares have gained approximately 34.95% from their initial trading range around $113.27, demonstrating how options can deliver significantly amplified returns compared to simply owning the underlying stock.

This performance illustrates the power of options leverage when the directional thesis proves correct, though it’s important to note that this same leverage can work against traders when market moves go in the opposite direction.

The strong move in NVDA comes as the semiconductor giant benefits from explosive AI chip demand that has exceeded all expectations. The company reported record Q1 2026 revenue of $44.1 billion in late May, up 69% year-over-year, driven by unprecedented demand for its AI infrastructure. CEO Jensen Huang highlighted a “sharp jump in inference demand,” which NVIDIA’s new Blackwell chips are specifically designed to address. The Blackwell architecture has generated such massive demand that it is reportedly sold out through the end of 2025, with major tech companies including Meta, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Oracle placing large-volume orders.

NVIDIA Corporation specializes in graphics processing units and AI computing platforms, with its data center business becoming the primary growth driver. The company’s AI chips power the training and inference of large language models and other AI applications, making it a critical supplier to the world’s largest technology companies investing in AI infrastructure.

NVDA was last trading at $153.72, up 3.93% on the day and up from the $113.27 level when the original call activity was spotted.
