Forbes reports, “With October coming to an end just days ago, here is brief recap of all major Bitcoin and cryptocurrency news events of the past month.

Bitcoin Breaks $14,000 Once Again

One of the biggest stories of the past month has been Bitcoin’s price action. After a period of consolidation between $10,000 and $11,000 in the first half of October, BTC rocketed higher, reaching $14,100 at the monthly highs.

Bitcoin’s rally came in the face of a number of bearish news events, including Bitcoin derivatives platform BitMEX getting charged by the CFTC and OKEx shutting down withdrawals.

Analysts see Bitcoin’s reclamation of the $14,000 resistance as one important for bulls.

Raoul Pal, CEO of Real Vision and a retired hedge fund manager, says that after $14,000, there is little technical resistance until $20,000. $14,000 marked the highs of 2019 to a T and also is the point at which the 2017 yearly candle closed.
