On today’s CNBC Halftime Report, Pete Najarian is seeing unusual option activity in $FEYE and $WPX.
Pete is seeing unusual activity in FEYE, as traders purchased 4,300 of the Weekly 07September $15 calls from 0.34 to 0.54. Pete bought these calls, and noted that there was also unusual buying activity in the Weekly 07September $15.50 calls which were bought up to around 0.30. In the afternoon session, news hit that both Google and Facebook had engaged FireEye to provide intelligence on suspicious accounts, driving the price of those calls bought just this morning, to over six time their purchase prices.
Pete also sees unusual activity in WPX, as traders purchased 4,500 of the October $20 calls for 0.55 as part of a bullish spread, selling an equivalent amount of downside puts. Pete bought these calls, and likes what we’ve seen in the energy space of late.
