The Bruins and Senators decided to keep both of their games close to make us sweat a bit, but we pulled off the parlay for a small gain last week.
April 6- NHL: Ottawa Senators vs Florida Panthers
Another week, another bet on a Senators game. However, we’ll be fading the Sens tonight as they take on the red-hot Florida Panthers.
The Panthers have disappointed this season after winning the Presidents Trophy last year, but currently hold the first Wild Card spot in the East.
They’ve won four-straight games and need win to bank as many points as possible to keep from falling out of a Wild Card spot.
Meanwhile, the Senators’ season is pretty much over. While not mathematically eliminated from the playoff race, they’d need a lot of things to go their way. They’ve also lost three-straight.
The Panthers’ spread of -1.5 currently offers even money odds at +100 and we’ll be jumping on that. Our reasoning for it is much the same as last week’s Senators pick: they’re playing for their season against worse competition and are at home.
It’s time for the Panthers to secure their spot in the playoffs.

April 6- MLB: Toronto Blue Jays vs Kansas City Royals
Tonight, the Toronto Blue Jays head to Kansas City to take on the dumpster fire that is the Kansas City Royals.
Let’s be honest here- the Royals stink. They’ve stunk for a while now and this season looks to be no different. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays are a team with lots of promise. They have a new manager and have a good core in place.
So, believe it or not, we’re thinking the Blue Jays win this one. But, so does everyone else, so we’re making a two-leg prop parlay.
We’ll be parlaying Kevin Gausman 5+ strikeouts with Matt Chapman to record a hit at -125.
Gausman threw for seven strikeouts in the one game he started this season and today should be no different.
Across the mound, Chapman is a known menace against opposing pitchers with a batting average of .522 this season.
No question we’re betting on these two to light it up against one of the MLB’s bottom-feeders.
