April 13- MLB: Philadelphia Phillies vs Cincinnati Reds
The MLB was kind to us last week, so we’re heading back to it with a juicy No Runs First Inning (NRFI) pick.
Phillies batters Trea Turner, Kyle Schwarber and Nick Castellanos are a combined 1-15 against Reds pitcher Nick Lodolo, who has a career ERA of 3.43. Despite the firepower at the top of the order, the Phillies have struggled to score in the opening inning of games this season.
On the other side of the mound, Phillies pitcher Bailey Falter has a 67% NRFI rate through 18 starts, via Oddschecker. He’ll likely be facing Jonathan India to begin the day. While the Reds have some interesting pieces in the batting order, they’re 4-7 on the season and have a tough time putting up runs.
