We came close to breaking even last week, but the Blackhawks couldn’t convert on a breakaway in OT and we finished down.
April 20: Toronto Maple Leafs/Colorado Avalanche Parlay
The most beautiful thing about the NHL playoffs? It’s pure chaos. Both the Maple Leafs and Avalanche entered the week as favorites in each of their respective series, but both suffered home losses in Game 1.
We think they each even the series tonight.
The Maple Leafs looked flat in Game 1 and their goaltending was a joke. There was no grit to the team when it was needed, and their stars were quiet for most of the night.
With the pressure the club is feeling from fans and the media to get out of the first round this year, we expect the team to come out and even the series.
Meanwhile, the Avalanche have less pressure on them, but it’s not a good look when a second-year expansion team beats the defending Stanley Cup champs in their own building. Avs should come out with some more pop and take the win.
Rebel’s Pick: Maple Leafs/Avalanche ML Parlay (+129) @ 1U
April 21: Snooker – Ronnie O’Sullivan vs Hossein Vafaei
*Odds from this bet are from FanDuel
Snooker. Giant table. Tiny balls. Infinite opportunities to frustrate your opponent. It’s a beautiful game and the world championships are taking place over the next few weeks in Sheffield, England.
When it comes to snooker, there’s one name that truly reigns supreme: Ronnie O’Sullivan. He’s the GOAT, the greatest of all time, and he’s about to face off against young upstart, Hoeein Vafei.
Vafei made the grave mistake of poking the bear, insinuating that Ronnie should retire and accusing him of disrespecting other players. Let’s be real: If there’s one thing old guys hate, young-guy trash talk. Especially considering Ronnie was besting other players at snooker long before Vafei was born.
This matchup requires winning 13 frames to advance, but I don’t see Hossein getting much of a chance. We think Ronnie is going to show Vafei why he’s the king of the table.
Trust us, this one’s going to be over before you know it.
Rebels Pick: Total frames played: UNDER 21.5 (-120)
