Record: 21-30-3 (-2.20U)
It took Justin Fields setting a new NFL record for the Dolphins pick to fail, but our Dallas bet was sweat-free, so we ended last week 1-1.
November 12: UFC- Dustin Poirier vs Michael Chandler
We’ve got a big card in the UFC this weekend and have to jump in on the action.
#2 Dustin Poirier will be fighting #5 Michael Chandler on the main card in what is almost a guaranteed slugfest between two Lightweight contenders. Both fighters have heavy hands, and a KO/TKO is the favored method of victory at -150.
This fight is projected to be close and we’re going with the underdog, Michael Chandler, to win. Chandler offers plus-money for a fight that everyone expects to go either way and is too good to pass up at that value.
Poirier has a 0.5-inch reach advantage and 3-inch leg advantage, but we’re not expecting these guys to allow too much distance between each other.
Rebel’s Pick: Michael Chandler (+180) @ 1U
November 13: NFL- Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions
If you can’t beat them, join them. The Chicago Bears head to Detroit for a matchup against the division-rival Lions in a game that should be about as exciting as watching paint dry.
It looks like the Bears finally know how to best utilize Justin Fields and we’re expecting the Lions defense to scheme around that. With Fields being the main focus, RB David Montgomery will hopefully have some more room to run.
The Lions have the 25th-ranked rushing defense in the league and Montgomery has run for 53 yards or more in three of the past four games. His total rushing yards for the week is set at 57.5 (+110).
With Fields setting a new rushing record last week, the Bears could use that to open things up for Montgomery a bit and give him some more carries.
Rebel’s Pick: David Montgomery OVER 57.5 yards (+110) @ 1U
