An epic collapse by Golden State in the fourth quarter of Game 1 headlined a tough 1-2 record for us last week, but we cashed our lacrosse pick, so it wasn’t a total loss. This week we’re looking to get our winning record back on track.

June 10: NBA – Golden State Warriors vs Boston Celtics

The Warriors may have blown it for us last week, but we keep coming back to them. This week is no different.

This is a series that we always saw going six or seven games. Both teams are too talented to roll over and we’re seeing that throughout each of these games.

Boston fought hard in Game 1 for a win away from home. Golden State responded in Game 2 with a 19-point dub. Game 3 was all about Boston’s three-headed dragon Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart coming together for a team win.

Whenever one organization seems to grab momentum, the other strikes back to even the odds. That’s why we see the ‘Dubs (+150) taking Game 4 in Boston.

Klay Thompson seemed to get his game back on track with a 25-point performance last night, and Steph Curry put up 31 points. They play well, but one issue keeps holding them back.

The fourth quarter. They’ve been outscored in every game this series (highlighted by Game 1’s meltdown) and need to figure out how to close strong at some point. Game 4 is the perfect time to show that they can do just that.

We like Golden State at +150 but if you’re feeling burned by last week’s performance you can always take their spread at +4 (-110).

June 11: UFC- Teixeira vs. Prochazka

To close out this week’s picks we’ve got our first UFC bet! Light Heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira is taking on second-ranked contender Jiri Prochazka in the headline fight of UFC 275.

Prochazka, who is fighting in his third UFC match, is favored at -200 with Teixeira coming in at a +170 underdog.

For the Market Rebellion team, this is a fight that offers great money on Teixeira.

Prochazka is a monster striker in the octagon, but he’s stated that he doesn’t focus on Brazilian Ju-Jitsu. This is the type of fight that the longer it goes on, the more it favors Teixeira.

If Teixeira can get Prochazka on his back a couple of times and draw out the fight to a decision, the judges will likely side with him. He just needs to weather the storm that Prochazka will unleash in the opening rounds.

The fight could go either way but at +170, betting on the champ is worth it.
