Our first parlay of the year hit for a nice 2.32U payout to bring us close to even overall. Time to get back in the profit zone.
July 23- UFC: Curtis Blaydes vs Tom Aspinall
The UFC was generous to us last week so we’re heading right back to it. This isn’t the most exciting card of the year, but we like the main event matchup between Curtis Blaydes and Tom Aspinall.
Aspinall is currently a -135 favorite over Blaydes (+115). His arm and leg reach are both two inches shorter than Balydes, but he’s 5-0 in his UFC career.
With this is a heavyweight fight, we’re expecting some big hits but there may also be some wrestling involved as both fighters are adept on the ground.
The longer the fight goes on, the more it favors Blaydes as Aspinall has never fought past the second round in his career. If his cardio is up to snuff and he can keep up with Blaydes in the later rounds. But we’re expecting Aspinall to take care of business in the first fifteen minutes.
Rebel’s Pick: Tom Aspinall @ -135 (1U)
July 23- MLS: Chicago Fire vs Vancouver Whitecaps
There’s not a ton to bet on outside of the UFC… So we’ve got an MLS pick coming at you! (American Football really needs to come back…)
For our first soccer bet of the year, we’ve got a matchup between the lowly Chicago Fire and very average Vancouver Whitecaps on deck.
The Whitecaps are +130 favorites to win in regular time while the Fire are +195 underdogs.
The Fire are on a two-game win streak and Vancouver is on a two-game tie streak. Can Chicago stroll into Vancouver and steal a win? We doubt it. So, we’re taking the Whitecaps to win in regular time.
Rebel’s Pick: Vancouver Whitecaps @ +130 (1U)
