$SOFI calls trade higher

SoFi (SOFI) rose sharply today, rewarding upside call positions opened two sessions ago.

On Nov. 25, Market Rebellion’s Unusual Option Activity Service identified 31,000 12December 29 calls bought for $0.88-$0.92 above the existing open interest of 2,005 contracts, with SOFI shares trading at $26.97-$27.20.

Those 12December 29 calls traded as high as $1.84 today with the stock at $29.72, delivering impressive returns of approximately 104.44% from the initial midpoint entry price of $0.90. Meanwhile, SOFI shares gained approximately 9.71% from their initial midpoint trading level around $27.09, demonstrating how options can deliver significantly amplified returns compared to simply owning the underlying stock.

This performance illustrates the power of options leverage when the directional thesis proves correct, though it’s important to note that this same leverage can work against traders when market moves go in the opposite direction.

SOFI closed the session at $29.72, up 4.32%, reflecting continued strength as the market digests the company’s transformation into America’s first nationally chartered bank offering fully integrated banking, lending, investing, and cryptocurrency services on a single platform.
