Quick recap
Equity markets slipped late last week after Thursday’s CPI data revealed 40-year-high inflation. Throw in some Russia-Ukraine tensions and you can see why some investors were spooked.
The S&P 500 closed down 1.82% at 4,418. The Dow finished lower by 1% at 34,738. Tech stocks continued their recent volatility as the Nasdaq closed down 2.18% at 13,791.
Crypto update
Cryptocurrencies are mostly mixed on the week as prices continue to stabilize. Bitcoin ($BTC) is almost perfectly flat at $41,811. Meanwhile, Ethereum ($ETH) has fallen 5.84% to $2,840.
Digital assets like XRP ($XRP) +16% and Shiba Inu ($SHIB) +3.8% are higher on the week. While others such as Binance Coin ($BNB) -5.61%, Cardano ($ADA) -10%, Solana ($SOL) -19%, and Terra ($LUNA) -5.7% are trading lower.

What to watch this week
Earnings roundup
Earnings season continues with another packed week of popular stocks. We’ll hear quarterly data from Nvidia ($NVDA), Walmart ($WMT), Roku ($ROKU), Roblox ($RBLX), Shopify ($SHOP), Palantir ($PLTR), DraftKings Inc. ($DKNG), MarathonOil ($MRO), DoorDash ($DASH), and Deere & Company ($DE) — just to name a few.

Economic calendar
There’s a ton of events on the calendar this week with the potential to move markets.
Keep a close eye on the Wednesday’s retail sales data and FOMC minutes. The latter will be interesting, considering the market’s negative reaction to December’s notes. Investors will likely react if additional rhetoric around increased rate hikes is revealed.
