On today’s CNBC Halftime Report, Jon and Pete Najarian are seeing unusual option activity in $HGV, $WLL, $XME and $TSLA, plus an update on $KWEB and $RIG.
Jon is seeing unusual activity in $HGV, as traders purchased 4,000 of the July $32 calls for $0.60, as part of a bullish roll. The trade breaks even when shares of HGV reach $32.60, and Jon bought these calls.
Jon is also seeing unusual activity in $WLL, as traders purchased 10,000 of the 05July $20.50 calls for $0.18 to $0.21. Jon bought these calls and intends to hold them for a few days, before the half day of trade for the July 4th holiday.
Jon then updated a trade in $KWEB from yesterday, noting that those calls are working, with the underlying up over a dollar today.
Pete is seeing unusual activity in $XME, as traders purchased 10,000 of the July $28 calls from $0.48 to $0.52. The trade breaks even with the stock around $28.50 or so. Pete bought these calls.
Pete also updated a trade in $RIG from June 17, noting that those calls have tripled and that he has been trimming, though sticking with some of the trade.
Lastly, Jon is also seeing unusual bearish activity in $TSLA, as traders purchased 10,000 of the July $205 puts for $5.75. Jon made note of these puts, indicating that there is a chance that traders have created a synthetic call, by being long the underling equity, as well as these puts.
